Newbridge House is renowned as one of Ireland’s most intact and best preserved examples of a Georgian Mansion. The house retains most of its original furnishings and contents. This is rare for historic houses, as many have had their collections dispersed over time. At Newbridge, you will have an opportunity to see the furniture, artwork and personal belongings of the families who lived there, giving a very authentic glimpse into their lives.
By Train: Take the northbound commuter train from Dublin Connolly, Tara Street, or Pearse Street stations directly to Donabate Station. From there, Newbridge House is an easy 15-minute walk through the village and demesne.
By Bus: Take the 33B Go Ahead bus from Swords (which connects from Dublin city. Also buses 33, 41(b), 41(c), and 43) to Donabate. The bus drops you off right at the main park entrance.
By Car: Located just 5 minutes off the M1 motorway and 10 minutes from Dublin Airport, the estate is easily accessible. Follow signs for Donabate/Swords. There is ample, free parking on-site.
Please note that there is no lift in Newbridge House.
