Biography

Daniel Havell was a prominent British engraver, draughtsman and publisher, best known for his high-quality aquatint prints of landscapes and architectural subjects.
He was part of the renowned Havell family of artists, which played a major role in British printmaking during the early 19th century.
Havell specialised in topographical views, including London landmarks, public schools (like Eton and Rugby), and international scenes from India and Ethiopia.
