Percy Gethin was a painter and etcher, especially of architectural subjects. He was an occasional lithographer. He was born in Bagnalstown, County Carlow, Ireland. He settled in London in 1905 and taught life drawing in Central School. He lived in Paris 1911-12, after which his etchings were taken on by Colnaghi. He was killed in the Battle of the Somme on the 28th of June 1916.
