Bores arrived in Paris in the 1920s as part of a wave of Spanish artists, but was not recognised in his homeland until the 1970s.
His early work was drawings and woodcuts depicting scenes of daily life.
Later he was influenced by Picasso and Matisse in particular cubism, colours and lines. He harmonizes these techniques and goes beyond them to forge his own style.
